Aide
Privacy Policy
Effective date: June 2, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Aide (“we”, “us”, the “app”) collects, uses, stores, and protects your information. By using Aide you agree to this policy.
1. Information we collect
- Account information. When you start using Aide we create an account for you (anonymously at first, and linked to your email, Apple, or Google sign-in if you choose to sign in).
- Profile & preferences. Details you provide during onboarding (such as your role, priorities, working hours, and preferred tone) and settings you configure.
- Content you create. Tasks, notes, contacts, and the “memory” facts you let Aide remember.
- Conversations. Messages you send to the Aide assistant, along with a compact summary of your profile and memory that is included to provide relevant responses.
- Connected accounts (optional). If you connect Google, Aide accesses your Gmail and Google Calendar data to provide its features (see Section 4).
- Subscription information. Your subscription status (e.g. whether you have Aide Plus). Payments themselves are processed by the app stores — we never receive your card details.
- Usage & diagnostics. Basic, limited operational data needed to run the service (such as daily AI usage counts for free-tier limits).
2. How we use your information
- To provide Aide’s features: briefings, triage, drafting, calendar and task management, your personal CRM, and the AI assistant.
- To personalize responses using your profile and the memory you choose to keep.
- To manage your subscription and enforce free-tier limits.
- To maintain security, prevent abuse, and operate the service.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your private content for advertising.
3. AI processing
Aide’s assistant is powered by the Anthropic (Claude) API. When you send a message, your message and the included context are transmitted securely to a backend service we operate and then to Anthropic to generate a response. We send only what is needed to answer you. AI responses can be inaccurate or incomplete and should not be relied on as professional advice.
4. Google user data (Gmail & Calendar)
If you connect a Google account, Aide requests the minimum scopes needed: read, send, and organize email (we do not request permanent deletion or the broadest mail scope) and calendar events.
Limited Use disclosure. Aide’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. Specifically:
- We use Google user data only to provide and improve the features you see in Aide.
- We do not transfer or sell this data to third parties except as needed to provide the service, for security, or to comply with law.
- We do not use Google user data for advertising.
- Humans do not read your Google data except where you explicitly request support, for security, or as required by law.
Access tokens for connected accounts are encrypted at rest and stored only on our backend — never on your device or in the app. You can disconnect a connected account at any time in the app’s Trust Center, which revokes our access and deletes the stored tokens.
5. How your data is stored & protected
- Data is stored using Supabase (Postgres, authentication, and edge functions).
- Sensitive tokens are encrypted at rest; access is restricted by row-level security so you can only access your own data.
- Secrets (API keys, provider credentials) live only on the backend, never in the app.
- We keep a tamper-evident activity log of consequential actions, visible to you in the app.
6. Service providers
We share data only with providers that help us operate Aide, under their own terms: Anthropic (AI), Supabase (database/auth/backend), RevenueCat (subscription management), and Google/Apple (sign-in, billing, and — if you connect them — Gmail/Calendar).
7. Data retention & your choices
- You can view and remove individual memory facts, and clear all of Aide’s memory, in Settings.
- You can disconnect connected accounts at any time, which revokes access and deletes stored tokens.
- You can request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us (see Section 10). We delete or anonymize data that we are not legally required to retain.
8. Children
Aide is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect their data.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the effective date above and, where appropriate, an in-app notice.
